RYA Power Boat 1 and 2 RYA Dinghy and Keel Boat Training Spain
Our RYA Power Boat 1 and 2 Courses run every week throughout the year, join us in warm Coastal Waters near to Barcelona at our Fully Recognised RYA Water Sports Centre. We are sailing this week in The Bay Of Rosas from L'Escala Marina with our Fastrack Yachtmaster Students, Yachtmaster Offshore Exams on Thursday the 23rd February. Email us for immediate enquiries.
Mile Building and Adventure Sailing with RYA Qualifying Passages Barcelona Gibraltar Morocco Portuga
5th March Aurora a Bavaria 46 Cruiser Yacht is departing Barcelona - Marina L'Escala and bound for Gibraltar approx 700 miles on the rhumb line so more expected if sailing, we anticipate a maximum 10 day Mile Builder. Cost 1150 gbp fully inclusive.
Arrive Gibraltar 15th March. This yacht will then be sailing commencing 19th March for 10 days Gibraltar, Morocco, Spain. Sail Training and Mile Building with time to visit some of Moroccos Marinas such as Ceuta, Smir, Spain - Sotogrande, Estapona, Duquesa, Gibraltar - Alcadeisa, Marina Bay, Queensway Quay and time out for Gibraltar Rock sightseeing. Cost 995gbp fully inclusive.
2nd April The Yacht will be departing Gibraltar and heading for The Canary Islands and then returning to Gibraltar. This leg is 1250 miles and we anticipate 10 - 14 days Mile Building and Adventure sailing. Cost 1295gbp fully inclusive.
Fully Inclusive means, all fuel, moorings, bedding, wet gear, food and beverages, RYA Instructor, and RYA Certificates and a log book if you require one. Accommodation is in a bunk cabin 2 bunks for the duration, upgrades are available to shared double cabin, or single occupancy double cabin.
These dates obviously have to be flexible, but if you book to sail with us your accommodation will be secured on board, the weather will only be a factor for a day or so given a yacht of this size.

We have STCW 95 Courses available with 1 week Yacht Crew Training (Sail) which leads to RYA Competent Crew and STCW 95 Certification, all completed in 10 days. Yacht Tender driving Courses for Super Yachts can be added RYA Power Boat 1 and 2. We have courses starting on 12 and 24 March, 2 and 16 April, 7 and 21 May the first week is STCW 95 the second Yacht Crew Training (Sail). The 10 day course costs £1690. Accommodation is on board one of our Yachts for the Yacht Crew Training and then shorebased during the STCW 95. (Bed and Breakfast). RYA First Aid and VHF SRC Radio Courses Barcelona - L'Escala Spain
VHF SRC Radio Course including DSC (Digital Selective Calling) are run at our Barcelona- L'Escala Base on the following Saturdays, 11, 18, 25 February and 3,10,17,24, 31 March. RYA 1 Day First Aid Courses are run on Sundays 12,19, 26 February and 4, 11, 18, 25, March 2012. RYA Day Skipper Theory and RYA Coastal Skipper Theory Courses start each Monday. Our first RYA Yachtmaster Exam is on February 2nd and 3rd 2012. The Exam is open to suitably qualified students at our Barcelona - L'Escala Base. Next Mile Builder from Gibraltar, Morocco, Spain and Portugal commences on Monday 13th February concludes February 23rd, we estimate 1250 miles with a fair wind, cost 1250 UK pounds.

RYA Sailing Courses start every Monday, our Yachts sail from Barcelona and L'Escala, we visit modern Marina's with first class facilities, Palamos, Port D'Aro, Estartit, and Rosas. You can choose to anchor in some of the Meds most exclusive places or go ashore in the evenings. We are open all year and sail everyday. You can choose from RYA Sailing, Motor Cruising, Power Boating Courses or from a wide range of watersports activities at our Training Centre at L'Escala in The Bay Of Rosas. Tidal and non Tidal Milebuilding from Gibraltar and Barcelona, our 10 day Milebuilders start every Monday and cost from £1150 all inclusive fuel, food and beverages on board, fresh bedding, RYA Qualified Instruction, moorings and a log book to record your miles and passages. RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Exam Barcelona Port Olympic
Well done to Charlie who has successfully completed his 15 week Fastrack YachtmasterPLUS Course with a pass on his Yachtmaster Offshore Assessment in Port Olympic Barcelona. He is now embarking on his 10 day RYA Cruising Instructor Course with a view to working with us here at Blue Oyster from Barcelona and Gibraltar. We would also like to welcome a new Fastrack Yachtmaster student Emilio all the way from Australia, and Lindsay commencing her RYA Coastal Skipper course Monday. Mile Builder with RYA Tuition Barcelona to Gibraltar 1st December
We have a Mile Building Adventure sailing passage departing Barcelona 1st December and then heading for Gibraltar. A 600 mile passage costs 1150 pounds and you will be able to complete RYA Yachtmaster Qualifying 60 mile passages on the way. We are due to arrive between 9th and 12th December. We are then sailing in the Tidal Atlantic waters around Gibraltar breaking on the 22nd. Cost of this period is 995 pounds. Christmas sailing in Gibraltar is available from 27th December until the 1st January 2012 cost fully inclusive 895 pounds. RYA Power Boat 1 and 2 Training Courses with Commercial Endorsements. Well done to Harvey, Charlie, Jake, Susie, John B, and Steve who all successfuly completed their RYA Power Boat 1 and 2 courses this week from our base just north of Barcelona. They are all now competent Tender drivers and are intending to commercially endorse their RYA 2 Power Boat Certificates. Our next Power Boat course starts on the 9th January and we run them every second Monday throughout the year.
